Light Graffiti Images

At this part of the lesson, we have learned how to use light graffiti images using a dslr camera by setting it up to ISO 100 and on manual focus while placing the camera on the tripod and also using different kinds of lights to  create a graffiti image. We've put ourselves into 3 groups of 3 or 4 and started creating our own graffiti, with different lights we've use which includes flashlights, and the lights on our phone by clicking the shutter button on the camera that you're using, at the same time create a image up to "15"seconds or higher and by setting the camera to "S" or Tv" to create a graffiti image just like the images above.

Shutter Zoom 

To create the panning shots, I've set the settings of the camera which i has using during the lesson. The ISO was 100 and the focus was 1/60 or less. The camera was set to 1/20 and the ISO was 100, to learn how to take a picture of a good panning photo is to focus on the object that you want to take a picture off and click on the shutter button and follow the object at the same time. 

The photo you'll see on the camera will show that the main object is clear and the background is blurry unlike the blurred motion shot the camera has to be very still on a tripod and the main object has to remain steady while the background is moving, the settings of this has to be the same with the shutter zoom and panning shots. 

As for the Shutter zoom, I have used the same settings with the Blurred Motion and the Panning shots, the only difference here is that whilst taking a picture using the same ISO 100 and set it to 1/20. To take a picture of this is by clicking the shutter and zoom in and out with the lens to create a stunning picture like the picture above. 

Animation

Describe what a zoetrope is?

A zoetrope is a piece of motion picture projector which is consisted of a drum containing a set of still images, that turns into a circular fashion in order to create the illusion of motion.

Explain what the persistance of vision is.

Who invented the zoetrope?

This piece of motion picture projector was invented by an englishman called William Horner a.k.a. The Daedalum or The wheel of the devil in 1834.

Why was it so important?

Zoetrope is important because is about creating different cut out animations from different kinds of magazines.

Object Animation

Object animation is a motion picture where it uses different kinds of objects to create a new animation, creating an object animation, is way more different than creating a cutout animation. the cutout animation is a piece of motion picture, which involves cutting different pictures from magazines. Pixilation- is a type of animation which uses a human body to create a perfect animation. This animation doesn't have to use any objects or anything, just a tripod and a webcam to capture the motion and edit it using the istop motion software. Pixilation was invented by

Cut Out Animation-

Koyanniskatsi TimeLapse Animation- Koyanniskatsi timelapse animation is used for capturing different sorts of places using istopmotion to create a video of any sort of things passing by to create a high speed motion every 30secs. of the time limit.

This is an example of what the media students did before the summer half-term has started.

For this part of the session, I have designed a Storyboard and a mindmap for E4's new ident.. I have drawn three different idea for my channel ident, the first one that I've drawn is going to be set in flat, where everything is in a mess, and then suddenly all of the stuff at the same flat will come to life, the photo albums will be flying around, a teddy bear will be coming out of the photo album.. clothes coming from the drawers and etc.

The second idea that I've thought to draw for the channel ident is going to be set in a camping village where, young youths arrives at the camping village and puts at tent, after, they'll light up the fire and the e4 logo will show up at the fire itself.

The third idea and last idea that came up to my mind was the idea where I decided to do a channel ident on. My idea for my channel ident is basically going to be use some cut out animation (using different pictures from different magazines) and drawn animation. The whole story behind this channel is about celebrating New Year in different areas across the globe. From scene by scene, it sees the other people greeting each other a Happy New Year and gathers around in front of the bridge to watch the beautiful firework display. In a couple of minutes time the countdown will be shown at the main centre of the bridge, with the crowd joining in at the countdown from 10 to 1.. and last but not least the amazing fireworks display shows and slowly by the slowly the e4 logo shows during the fireworks and gets a quick close-up of the logo itself.

The second idea that i have thought about is a deck cards being spread with the e4 logo popping out from the front of the card.
